Alpha - Posters
The Your Defence Alpha-posters are a wonderful way to introduce your kids to the world of Australian Defence. These poster sets are the ultimate resource for schools, play groups and community houses. They are also great for children’s bedrooms and play areas.
The posters are full of readily identifiable images of each Service and feature the imagery used throughout the Your Defence Alpha-book series. Each image is accompanied by a brief paragraph providing an explanation of the image, a fun fact or a question for discussion.
The self-contained nature of the posters ensures teachers and parents do not need a strong understanding of each Service. The poster set has been designed to link to all three Services, Navy, Army and Air Force and, therefore, to mum or dad whether at home, or away. They are a useful tool in encouraging positive conversation within playgroup and school support networks and families.
Every family lives alongside the serving member, they are affected by Defence and at times the very nature of Defence can be a serious concept for younger children. Each page is true to the Service without exposing children to complicated concepts, so carers and parents can be comfortable with the material presented and elaborate further in a group setting or at home.
Each poster features either a common Tri-Service representation or a set of Service specific images depending on the concept being explored.
The posters also feature both an upper and lower-case alphabet written in foundation font, with a highlight in place for the letter being looked at. Each poster is A3 in size (29.7cm x 42.0cm) with poster sets shipped flat.
