Defence Community Organisation (DCO) provides a broad range of individual and program related services to the ADF community. DCO also provides assistance in the case of accident, illness, hospitalisation, and financial difficulty and in managing casualties and estates at times of bereavement.
National Welfare Coordination Centre (NWCC) provides support and information for Defence Families.
This service is available 24 hours a day on
1800 801 026 (free call) every single day of the year.
Defence Special Needs Support Group (DSNSG) is the only Australian charity dedicated to providing support, information and assistance to Defence families who have someone with special needs. The site contains links to regional and local DSNSG support groups and to special-needs information at a local, state, national and international level.
The Partners of Veterans Assoc Inc (P.V.A.) endeavours to inform members of their rights, entitlements and avenues of support available throughout the Veteran and wider community and to educate the general and Veteran community of problems faced by veterans' families.
The VVCS – Veterans and Veterans Families Counselling Service provides counselling and group programs to Australian veterans, peacekeepers and their families.  It is a specialised, free and confidential Australia-wide service. Phone 1800 011 046 for 24-hour assistance.
Legacy is a voluntary organisation of veterans, servicemen and women and other volunteers who share the ideals of Legacy who are dedicated to the care of the dependants of Australian Defence Force members.
Returned & Services League (RSL) aims to  present a wide range of information that will be of interest and value to veterans and those who are seeking general information on the RSL and Australia's military heritage.
Defence Force Welfare Association (DFWA) advocate improved conditions of service for Defence members and their families. DFWA campaigns for fair and equitable treatment and retirement benefits for former Defence members as well as providing advocacy services.
Defence Families of Australia (DFA) is a group formed to represent the views of Defence families. Defence families can contact DFA to represent them regarding an individual situation or to advocate an issue concerning many families.
