About Us
What makes us different?
Your Defence is a Sydney-based (our current posting!) family-run business. We have strong ties to the Australian Defence community having previously worked with Defence family and community organisations. I have personally completed a National Delegate term of service with Defence Families of Australia and am currently volunteering with the Partners of Veterans Assoc Inc. Our family remains dedicated to the welfare and well-being of the children and families of ADF members.
The Your Defence Crew are here to provide practical resources for Defence children and families. We celebrate the life lived alongside our Defence partners and support our children by helping them to stay connected when they are physically apart from their serving mum or dad. We too are a Defence family, we live this life just as you do. We want to ensure all families are well-equipped to thrive in this at-times challenging life style.
Here at Your Defence we don’t just talk the talk, we also walk the walk by actively participating in community organisations who positively support the Australian Defence lifestyle and the people within.

For 12 of the 15 months from January 2008 - May 2009 my husband was deployed or absent from home. It was during this time I was appointed National Delegate - Central NSW for Defence Families of Australia (DFA). In June 2008 I travelled with our two sons (and in-laws in tow) to Canberra to attend the DFA National Conference. This photo was taken on the dinner night during that week. I am middle right with the black lace dress and glasses.
